New MUGA officially opened in Mossend
Children from Mossend Primary in Bellshill celebrated the recent opening of the new Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) facility near Rosevale Crescent. Funded at a cost of £130,000 by North Lanarkshire Council via the Local Development Programme.
The facility was officially opened on 16th December by Councillor Jim Reddin, Councillor Beth Baudo and pupils from Mossend Primary school.
The project, developed by the Community Partnership Team, supported by Mossend Parent Council and local residents provides an essential upgraded sports facility in the Bellshill area.
Designed by Kompan, the MUGA offers an enclosed games court for activities such as football and basketball.
