Jerviston Half Term Family Fun Day
Over 150 people enjoyed a Family Fun Day in Jerviston Community Centre organised by the Mental Health and Tackling Poverty LOIP subgroup and supported by the Community Partnership Team.
Attendees got a free lunch and had the opportunity to take part in many fun activities such as Glasgow Street Aid Ambulance, face painting, live music, balloon modelling, hand massages, cycling and much more.
Attendees had access to more than 15 stalls which included information and giveaways related to the cost-of-living, support/advice services and free period products. As well as an opportunity to take part in a consultation on a potential new play area in Jerviston community which generated enthusiastic discussions and saw over 40 people engaging in the consultation.
This event was funded through North Lanarkshire Council’s Community Empowerment Fund.
