What is being offered?

Sessions are online, nonclinical and previous knowledge is not required. They are introductory in nature and aim to spark further discussion/interest.

  • Sexual Health and Relationships Education (2hrs) –focusing on current issues for children and young people, CSE, child development, key messages on consent and healthy relationships, RSHP in schools, local service provision and BBVs/STIs
  • Relationships, Sexual Health and Parenthood Education (RSHP) in schools (1hr) – focusing on RSHP Education and what children and young people are being taught, why and how
  • Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs) (1hr) – focusing on transmission, prevention, treatment and education
  • LGBT+ Identities (2hrs) – including a focus on terminology, language, inclusivity, legislation and issues faced by LGBT+ people of all ages When will sessions take place?

  • RSHP in schools May 13, September 9 and November 18 (10-11am)
  • BBVs April 23, June 4, August 27, October 22, December 10 (10-11am)

Lanarkshire Sexual health website

The Lanarkshire Sexual Health website is a fantastic resource that provides information about various topics related to sexual health, sexual wellbeing and healthy relationships. The website also has information about the sexual health services available across Lanarkshire, including Sexual Health Clinics, Young People Clinics, information about where to access free condoms through the Free Condoms No Fuss, Condom Distribution Scheme and information about Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and Blood Borne Virus (BBV) testing and treatment, including STI testing at home kits. There are also has a variety of useful resources, links and videos within the website.

The website has recently been refreshed to make it more user-friendly, including an updated services directory to search for your local services.

As well as a new look, the work has improved functionality like the quick exit button and making it easier for users to access information about sexual health topics.
