Top award for The Compass Project

Congratulations to North Lanarkshire Council’s Community Learning and Development Youth Work team, whose Compass Project won the Inclusion and Prevention Award at the 2025 National Youth Work Awards in Glasgow.

The project, supports young people in or at risk of conflict with the law through relationship-based practice and a contextual safeguarding approach. With over 70 young people supported, 55+ achieving SQA qualifications, and countless life-changing experiences delivered through schools, families and outdoor learning, the team’s impact has been outstanding.

Jennifer Lafferty nominated the project and Skye Culter and June Ford proudly collected the award on behalf of the service.

Well done to everyone involved, a brilliant achievement for North Lanarkshire.
