One Parent Families Scotland has launched a new survey to understand how single parents in Scotland are impacted by benefit sanctions and increased work requirements. The survey is open to single parents currently affected, as well as those who have been affected in the past.
The survey will run until March 3, 2025.
Why this matters: To receive Universal Credit, single parents often face requirements such as attending job centre interviews, increasing work hours, or engaging in job training. If these conditions aren’t met, they risk losing part of their benefits. We’re using this survey, along with focus groups and consultations with our local services, to learn more about how these challenges affect single parents.
