North Lanarkshire Council’s Corporate Parenting and Resettlement Teams organised an EID party for their resettling communities on 1 April 2025. This event was attended by the children and young people who have been separated from their families, and who now live within North Lanarkshire as well as families who arrived in North Lanarkshire via other Resettlement Schemes.

The event was a great success with lots of lovely food, singing, dancing and creative arts which were enjoyed by over 80 of our children, young people and families. The event was supported by Deborah Robertson from North Lanarkshire’s Creative Arts team who organised arts, crafts, and live music from Iranian musician Aref Ghobani.

Partner agencies who support our children and young people also attended the event including New College Lanarkshire, Fire and Peace Recovery, Aberlour Guardianship Service, and Lanarkshire Mosque.
